Filling the Space

Hey Peak City Family,

How’s the fast going? I know Week 2 can sometimes feel like a grind. The excitement of starting strong is wearing off, and the cravings or distractions might be hitting hard. But hang in there—this is where the real breakthrough happens.

Last week, we focused on clearing the clutter. This week, let’s talk about what we’re filling that space with. Because fasting isn’t just about removing something—it’s about replacing it with something better. And there’s nothing better than filling your life with God’s Word.

Think about this: in Matthew 4, Jesus was fasting in the wilderness when the enemy came to tempt Him. What did He do? He fought back with Scripture: “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). Jesus Himself modeled what it looks like to replace physical hunger with spiritual nourishment.

So, what are you filling the space with? If you’ve been fasting from food, replace those mealtimes with prayer or reading Scripture. If you’re fasting from your phone or social media, use that time to worship, journal, or simply sit in silence and listen for God. We’ve also got the Peak City Bible Reading Plan available—it’s a great way to let God’s Word be your guide during this season.

Remember, this isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being present. Keep going—you’re creating space for God to do something incredible in your life!

I love you all and love what we are building together. See you this weekend!
