Whether you’re new to church or been around for a long time, we consider you family. The people of our church are incredibly inclusive, with a rich history, diverse backgrounds, and a deep love for Colorado Springs. This page can show you what that means at a glance. But we would love to get to know you and answer your questions face to face. To do that, come check us out on a Sunday.
When people ask what we’re all about, we say that we exist to help people discover Jesus and follow Him fearlessly. Our church is a safe place for people who aren’t quite sure what they think about God, or what God thinks about them.
There are three words by which Red Rock wants to be known. Raw, Passionate, and Clear. As you visit our services, browse our social media, or even have a conversation with a member of the Red Rock family, we hope that you see these three things definitively different in them.
Jesus has freed us from the pressure to perform, so we walk in transparency and vulnerability.
Jesus proved that we were worth it all, so we live like he is worth it all.
Jesus fiercely loves those who don’t know him, so we make following him easy to understand.
The Bible is an incredible gift to the world. If we’ll take the time to learn and understand it’s message, we find God reveals himself through it. We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.
God is love. And He loves you more than you can possibly imagine. We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world.
People are the pinnacle of God’s creation and His is always for us. We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.
We believe all Jesus followers should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ. We do not expect people who don’t follow Jesus to act like those who do.
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the world. The Church was intended to be the most welcoming, loving, and inclusive family that the world has ever seen.
Sexuality is incredibly complicated and our culture has been led to believe that it is our primary identity. We reject that notion and strive to put sexuality in its proper place in our lives. While we welcome people of all sexual orientations, we believe that God’s design for sexuality and for marriage is specific and best for humanity. We believe the term “marriage” has only one meaning for the follower of Jesus: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as described in Genesis 2:18-25. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Corinthians 6:18; 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4). For the follower of Jesus, we believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person. As male or female, these two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26-27).
The statement of belief does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
